Tonight's dinner got a star from everyone. You know what that means? A four star meal. It's crazy, I know. Kalli even said that she alone gave it four stars. Now you may be asking, what is it that I made for the family? I'll start by saying that it wasn't anything super great. In fact, there are adjustments that I would make to the recipe if I make it again. Here is the recipe.

4 pork chops
1 large onion, sliced
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tsp vinegar
1 tsp yellow mustard
1 tsp brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place pork chops in baking dish and layer onion slices on top of chops. In bowl, mix ketchup, vinegar, mustard, and sugar. Pour 'sauce' over chops and put in oven for 1.5-2 hours.
I served this with baked potatoes and french style green beans. Everyone ate decent and although I think the girls liked the beans and potatoes the best, they did eat some of the meat and gave it a star.

Tonight we took the girls to the library to get them each some new books. Cassie and I each had books on hold also. Once we got there Andy took Cassie over to where her books were so that she could pick out 4 that she hasn't read from her 'Pony Pal' series and Kalli headed straight for the toys. Now you would think that Cassie would go join Kalli to play with different toys for a little bit after she had her books, but instead she sat in a chair and started reading. She read the entire time we were there and would have tried to read on the way home if we hadn't told her she couldn't. I know we're mean parents. But hey, it was dark out.

The other things that we, as mean parents, enjoy doing?? Asking them to pick up their toys. Telling them to sleep in their own beds all night. We are busy planning new and more torturous things right now. We can barely wait til the get older and we can force them to dress appropriately and say no to outings with friends.
