9+6=??

Cassie has always had a hard time when she first gets home from school. I think it is transition of being at school to being at home. Though I'm not sure why she gets teary and cranky, I do know that it makes homework much more interesting.

Tonight while helping Cassie with homework she came to the problem of what is 9+6. She looked at me and said "I don't know." I told her to figure it out. She then held up 9 fingers and cried, "I don't have 6 more fingers!"

I had to work very hard to stay collected and not laugh.
