Christmas Eve

Today is Cassie's birthday. Wow...when did she grow up? Looking back I can remember it like it was yesterday... her being born, me being very drugged, and the days/surgeries to follow. Where did that time go?

It is also Christmas Eve today. We did our usual...go look at Christmas lights, open gifts, and then off to bed before Santa made his way through. While looking at lights, Cassie pointed out that the moon was only partially lit. I explained that the reason the rest looks dark is because the other part is in the Earth's shadow. She understood and asked a couple questions about it. Then for the rest of the trip every time she saw the moon she would say, "look...the Earth's shadow" Although after like the 30th time it got a bit annoying...it was cute.

I find that the girls are doing more and more cute things lately. Kalli is starting to talk a lot more...and is copying almost everything we say. The other night I put them to bed and, because the night before they were up at like 4am, I said "I don't want to see you until the sun is up" The next morning they came in our room and Kalli said "un, up" (Sun, up) and now she is always saying "un, up moon, down" or visa versa. She is so funny and growing up so quickly. I feel like before I know it she will be 6! Oh my...that would make Cassie 10.

On that note, I'm going to bed.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!
