Tuesday

I can tell Christmas vacation is only a couple weeks away.

What is it about Christmas vacation? It seems that in the week or two before the actual vacation, something is triggered in bodies across America. Something that says...NOW! Get Sick. And here is the kicker...those "get sick" things that are triggered don't seem to get better until AFTER Christmas vacation. UGH

Cassie started to get a stuffy nose the other day and this morning she didn't want to really go to school, but she went anyhow. Tonight when she got off the bus her first words to me were "I don't feel very good. I want to stay home tomorrow." I told her that I would see how she was in the morning before we decided that. However...it isn't looking that promising. She is running about 100.8 temp and just looks miserable. All she wants to do is cuddle and sleep. This would be one of those times that being the mommy isn't all that much fun.

Then there is my Kalli-monster. She has been pointing to her ear for the past several weeks and saying "ear...ow" Today I called and made an appointment for tomorrow for her to go in and have it looked at. Just to rule out ear infection. Though even the nurse was surprised that she doesn't have any of the classic ear infection things and still she says ow. I'm also going to ask the doctor about her stomach. From time to time she will point at her tummy and say ooowwwiiieeee. And at times she will bend at the waist and just hold her stomach. Dunno what that is about. Again...one of those times that being the mommy isn't all that much fun.

I told Kalli that she will be going to see the doctor tomorrow morning...mistake on my part. The rest of the night she kept pointing to her ear saying "ear...da tor" She is very smart and catches on quickly, but it is annoying after about the 100th time.

Have I mentioned I can't wait til after Christmas vacation when everyone can get healthy again??
