Today we out at Sara and Dan's new house. They just moved there and girls had never been there. They had an absolute blast. Let's put it this way... we were there from like 12:30 until 10:30.
It was a good end of the summer day. It was nice out and the kids spent hours outside playing. They even went for a ride in the back of a trailer hooked up to a riding lawn mower. It wasn't anything big, but the kids thought it was awesome.
The new house is out in the country and there is a barn that one of the local farmers keeps some animals in. More specifically...pigs and baby chickens. I don't think that Cassie and Kalli have ever seen real in-the-live pigs. They were surprised by the size of these pigs - talk about HUGE, but were more interested in the piglets that were out there. It barn wasn't the most pleasant smelling place, but the kids were floored by it. Cassie is still talking about how one of the pigs is pregnant. I noticed her belly moving and she has pretty much told everyone that one of the pigs is going to have babies. When we got home at about 10:45, the kids were pretty much changed and put to bed. There was no complaints though and I think that they may have been asleep before I left the room. The most wonderful part for Andy and I is that we know that they will sleep in late. Yippee for mommy and daddy!
