Countdown to school

The girls are still struggling through their head colds... along with Andy. And this morning I woke up with a sore throat! Can you tell that it is time for school to begin?

Is it just me or does it seem that the beginning of each school year is marked by cold after cold? It would be the downfall of sending the kids back to school. Though it may be the only downfall...or the only one that I can think of at this point. :)

Today Andy and I took Cassie to see "Barnyard" at the theater. That little girl gets such a kick out of the littlest things...things that aren't that funny to most are halarious to her. She laughed so much as kept trying to hush her. I love watching her in movies and knowing that she enjoys them so fully. I hope she always is brave enough to laugh out loud and not hold back because of other people. (even though we are trying to get her to hold back a little)

Tomorrow will be a full morning. Shhh... don't tell Buffy but she is getting fixed tomorrow. Boy won't she be surprised! I can't believe that she is already 6 months old. She is still tiny, but when I look back at pictures of her, I can see that she really has grown a lot.

We will be getting up at the butt crack of dawn (at least in my eyes) as Buffy has to be at the vet's office by 8:30. Then we have to stop at an quick appointment for Kalli. At 10:15 Cassie has her assessment at school. All in all to see what she all knows. I think the teachers will be surprised to see how smart my girl is :) After Cassie's appointment we get to do the wonderful errand of grocery shopping. Can you sense the excitement in my tone?

Thursday (tomorrow is Tuesday) is Cassie's first full day of school. Though she will only be with 1/2 of the kinders and have no school Friday...it is still the first full day. Then starting the 11th she will be going Monday-Friday full days. Isn't school nice?
