It's only the second day of school and already Cassie has impressed the teachers.
Monday I started a "Communication Notebook" between the teachers and I. This is mainly so that I know what times Cassie is cathed at, but also so that I know what else is going on. Today one of the comments says... "I'm very impressed with Cassie! She is great at letting us know if she needs help or not. Today she told us she would strap the top half of her braces! She wants to be as independent as possible." THAT'S MY GIRL!! They think they're impressed now?? Just wait til they start trying to teach her things. :)
Today while Kalli was napping I got the dishes washed up and made supper. When Cassie got home the first thing out of her mouth was her usual, "I'm hungry" I was already prepared though, so I told her what I had made. You would think that I had just told her that she won a lifetime supply of Olive Garden meals. She was so excited. And you may be asking what I had made for supper?? Egg Salad Sandwiches. I know...my kid is crazy.
After the girls were in bed I started on my pile of homework. Someone needs to explain to me why when kids start school each year, the parent ends up with the mile-high pile of homework. To think...I went to school for 13+ years just to be able to sign my name 500 times and to know who to put for an emergency contact, though this question is harder then it seems. I know that they want people other then mom and dad, but if my baby has an emergency the only person you need to find is ME!
As promised...a picture a day from my not-a-person gallery :)
Tuesday
Are you impressed yet?
