After getting into the classroom I got to witness firsthand what every morning at school is like. I figured that it would be a little bit nuts, but the kids went directly to their seats, listened to the teacher's directions, took and emptied their backpacks of paperwork sent back from the parents, and were quiet while the teacher took roll call and collected paperwork. I was stunned and could only think...do your parents know how you can be when they aren't watching? I was seriously impressed. At the young age of 5, these kids knew what was expected and did it. Now the question I'm left asking is, why can't they do this when they are at home?
The field trip was very fun. I found out that my little girl is on the popular side...she has tons of friends and everyone says hi and wants her to be with them.
The orchard we went to had a "farm" on it so we got to see lots of animals...horses, pigs, chickens, goats, deer, and my personal favorite for this trip...llamas. The reason the llamas were my favorite is because of the way parents and teachers (myself included) rushed the kids past them. You see...there were 2 llamas. One was male and one female. I think from here you can figure the rest out. It was funny though as the kids were trying to see the llamas and kept saying..."look! They're hugging."
When we finished picking apples everyone got to eat one before getting back on the bus. Cassie said that she wanted to try one. I got one out for her and bit through the skin for her. She tried it and guess what...she wanted more! I had to eat the skin, but she wanted the rest. She even got upset when I took more then one bite as she thought I was eating her apple. I took the picture below as proof that my picky (no fruits/veggie) daughter was eating an apple. The most wonderful thing is tonight as we were sitting at home she asked for another apple. When I just looked at her (I was stunned...what can I say) she said, "I LOVE apples!"

Who is this kid and can I keep her??
