First report card of the year

Report cards came home today. And would you like to know how my girl did?

I've taken photos of 2 sections for you to see. What the numbers mean is at the top of the first picture.

I'm so proud of her.

Did you see that she got a 4 in reading out loud? I don't know about you, but I think that is excellent...reading out loud is usually harder then silently. Plus in the teacher notes, her teacher wrote that "Cassie is reading well above expectations at this time." WOO HOO! I'm sooo proud. (I do have to give some credit to Auntie Becky...all that reading to her is paying off!)

The only area that Cassie needs to work on is organization. I guess she has a hard time finding things in her desk when they are needed. We'll be working on this in the coming weeks. I have sent a note to the teacher asking if I can come in during a recess or after school to help Cassie get organized. I figure this will also show Cassie that I find this important.

Cassie and I discussed the report card tonight....Celebrating the 4's and discussing the areas we need to work on. Then Cassie read 2 books to Kalli. And then asked to read for another 15 minutes at bedtime. Have I mentioned that I'm proud?
