My Girlies!

The past few nights the girls and I have spent at home relaxing. We've been listening to Christmas music and just hanging out. Other then the little bit of crankiness (mainly from when Cassie gets home from school and wants to 1. Eat immediately and 2. is very short tempered with her sister who has missed her like crazy all day) things have been very mellow. Just the way I like it.

The girls have been spending most of the night coloring together. I give Cassie credit for putting up with her little sister the way she does because Kalli refuses to sit on her own chair. She needs to be right by Cassie. Cassie is ok with this until she is pushed to the floor...which sets off the crying. I got this picture of them coloring...this is usually how they color at night. Together. They are such good sisters.

On Tuesday Cassie brought home her first report card ever. And let me just say that I am THRILLED with how well she is doing. She got all 3's except for seven 4's. (3=meets expectations; 4=exceeds expectations) I know I know...nothing we didn't already know. Most of the 4's are in the Math area and the others are from the reading area. I think that this is wonderful since you pretty much need reading and math for everything! I am sooooo proud of her. And I made sure that she knew it. The comments from her teacher are

"Cassie has adjusted very well to Kindergarten. She is a very good student. She is an attentive listener. She is well liked by her peers. She is a joy and an inspiration each and every day."
Talk about my girl!!

The other night I was taking random pictures and took some of the tree and my little model, Cassie. She loves posing for the camera. She is such a ham. Below is one of Cassie and also one of the "springy" ornament on our tree. Enjoy!

Now tell me that she isn't a ham? Gosh I love that girlie. And to think in 16 days she'll be 6 years old. Where did that time go?
