Monday

Big day for my big girl

Well...Miss Cassie had a big day today. Daddy brought her to school and went on a field trip with her to the pumpkin patch. I have to laugh though, because it misted/sprinkled the entire time they were there. You see, last year...in Head Start...I went to the apple orchard with Cassie's class and we got poured on the entire time. Not sprinkled...POURED! So today when Andy got home I had to snicker and ask if he liked the field trip. (it's only fair he gets rained on from time to time too)

He did enjoy himself though. This is the first field trip that he has been able to go to as last year Cassie was in the afternoon class and the day of the orchard trip this year, he had a eye doctor appointment.

Cassie had fun and got her pumpkin, a ride in a hay wagon, and to see animals (petting zoo) Of course, her favorite animal was the horse.

Kalli started to learn something new today. I was working on finishing up the Bridal Shower invites this morning and she wanted to "help". I decided to give her a blank sheet of paper and let her color/write. She did this for a while and then wanted more, so I gave her a scissors...I know, frightening. I figured that I'd rather have her learn while I'm there to watch and protect what little bit of hair she has. She actually did very good. She snipped around all the edges and concentrated very hard. She practiced until I finished up what I was doing and then gave me the paper and said "Ta Da!" I'm thinking about hanging it up and saving it. She is on her way to scrapbooking :)
The rest of the evening was very quiet. We spent a lot of the time on the couch cuddling and playing together. The cutest thing of the evening is when I got up to get some more popcorn and Cassie called to me. I turned back to look at her and saw that Kalli had made herself comfortable as soon as I got up.

I hope they are always this caring and kind to each other. They really take good care of each other.
