It's official...it is fall! This is one of my favorite seasons...even though it is a bad season for my allergies. Kalli would be happy with any season as long as she can go outside. And Cassie...she likes winter. (of all the seasons, she picks winter!)
Kalli has a new habit. She wears her shoes anytime she isn't sleeping. She wakes up and puts them on. Will only take them off if it is bedtime or naptime. I don't know whether she is being prepared for leaving anytime someone gets a jacket on or if her feet are cold. All I know is that she looks funny in her jammies and shoes. Or even better, today she was in a turtle neck and shoes...no pants. It was kinda cute.
Cassie is already asking how much longer until Christmas. She asks this like every day. I'm going to go crazy before Christmas gets here! She also is asking if it is going to snow soon. Tell me she was switched at birth... Snow?? Why on earth would you want it to snow? That means it is very cold. I'm ok with the fact if I can stay home and just watch the snow, but I have to go out in it everyday to get her off bus. UGH! I've finally told her that first will come Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then a little after that it will be Christmas. And I told her that I have no idea when it will snow because not even the weather people know that. (might as tell her the truth about weather people right away...they know nothing!!) This answer I gave her should hold her off until tomorrow. Again I'm saying...UGH!
Yesterday I signed Cassie up for Girl Scouts. She'll actually be a Daisy Girl Scout and wear blue until next year when she becomes a brownie. I somehow became the troop leader...not sure exactly how I got myself into that one.
While I was filling out the paperwork at school, Cassie was playing with one of her little friends, Samantha. They had fun and were doing lots of talking...I wasn't exactly listening. Today Cassie informed me that she told Samantha that she could sleep over sometime. Huh? I looked at Cassie and she looked at me. "It's ok mom...I told her sometime, not this weekend." Thanks kiddo...I think that maybe we should get to know Samantha a little more first..and her mom. :)
I love that Cassie is becoming so social. On the way in to register her for Girl Scouts she was saying hi to everyone. Then there was one little girl who said hi to Cassie. Cassie looked at her and said "How do you know my name?" lol I've already come to the conclusion that everyone knows Cassie.
Save your money for Girl Scout cookie time! I'll be making the rounds with Cassie in tow.
