Recess called on account of rain

Do you remember back when recess was everything? Do you also remember when it was raining how rough it was to have to stay inside for recess? Well when Cassie came home today, I had one somewhat disappointed girl on my hands. "We didn't get to go outside for recess today because of the rain" and rain was said like it was some sort of punishment. I had to laugh because I remember feeling that same exact way when I couldn't go out for recess. I did tell her though that it won't rain forever...though there were days that I thought it may never stop raining as a kid too. Those few times when it would rain on and off for a of couple days.

Today was my first day as a swim instructor. It went well...put it this way, no kids drown :) I was nervous and first and unsure what to do, but I worked with someone else off and on all day so I'm more comfortable now. I think the rest of the week will go good since I now know more of what I'm doing. Now if I can just remember all the kid's names!

Tonight was a quiet night. Cassie played on the computer most of the night and Kalli "helped" me with dishes and laundry. Can every night go this smoothly? I can only hope. At bedtime they didn't even call me back into their room one time. They must be tired...or sick!

I've been taking quite a few pictures lately. It is fun and I'm enjoying it. Many of the pictures are of things and not people...this makes some people very happy. I've decided that from time to time, or maybe daily, I'm going to post one of the pictures that I've taken recently. Enjoy :)
