They are growing up so quickly!

This afternoon we went to meet Cassie's Kindergarten teacher and to see her classroom. While most of the kids won't know their teachers until the first day of full school. We found out who Cassie has and I am thrilled. It is the one that I met ahead of time and hoped she would have. Ms Petasik (unsure of exact spelling). She seems like a wonderful teacher and the first time we met her - with Cassie's Early Childhood teacher - she got down to Cassie's eye level and spoke to Cassie. This was a big deal to me as none of the other teachers had done it. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to know that Cassie will be in her class.

While we were at the "Meet the teacher" Kalli made herself at home and went to town playing and we spent an hour there, most of the time the kids just playing with Cassie's other to-be-classmates.

Because the kids could not wait to get to school we left early and went to play on the equipment. Kalli has absolutely no fear and was going down the biggest slide with a curve in it without me even realizing it. I was helping Cassie up the stairs following her, but when I got to the top she was no longer there. Instead she was on the ground running back to the steps. That child is going to give me a heart attack yet.

After "Meet the Teacher" I brought the kids home and my mom came over to watch them while I went to a training for gym/swim classes. I start working September 11. I'm a little excited, and a little nervous. What did I get myself into??
