Today we were quite busy...well once Andy left for work. The girls and I went to the YMCA to play for a while. We went there mainly to start to get Kalli used to the Kids Korner. This will be important when I start working on Sept 11. For some reason I don't want to leave her in there screaming for the entire time I am working. And trust me... I'm sure the workers will appreciate it. They had to come get me once when I was working out because she just wouldn't calm down. It is understandable that Kalli doesn't want to be left in there. She is totally a mommy's girl lately and she is 2 - the prime age for separation anxiety. It doesn't help that I am a stay at home mom and she has never really had to stay with anyone other then close family or Mommy/Daddy.
When we got to the Y the Kids Korner was closed...how rude! (I know I should've checked that out ahead of time, but that would have meant I had to plan the outting) So the girls and I went to the family area. Cassie and I attempted to play foosball -which I have to say is one of the worst games ever created. The ball is constantly getting stuck right in the middle where neither person can get to it. Then we played several games of Air Hockey. Cassie decided that she would rather play against Kalli than Mommy. Go figure...she wins against Kalli.
Once the Kids Korner opened again we went in to play and Kalli barely noticed that I was there. The next step will be me leaving for short periods of time. Only a couple weeks to work on this so we'll get started very soon.
After about a half hour of that we went to the library. Cassie has a facination there with the water bubbler. It is at her height and she seems to be constantly thirsty while we are there. I don't think it has anything to do really with thirst...more with playing and the fact that she can do it on her own. Kalli tried to get water today too....though her way was a little more discusting to me. She pushed the button for the water, stopped, rubbed her hand against the metal basin, and licked her hand. EEwwww!!! This only happened once, but I can just imagine the germs she picked up.
Luckily the rest of the night went much better then that one incident.
